Sable Press (Pvt) Ltd is a Zimbabwean corporation founded in 1995. Out of passion we have grown into a large printing business with a team of over 60 people, offering a friendly and premium service in a one-stop shop for printing.

Sable Press (Pvt) Ltd is a Zimbabwean corporation founded in 1995. We have grown into a large printing business with a team of over 60 people — a one-stop print shop.

Our brand has evolved with the times and now includes Digital, Packaging and Branding, using state-of-the-art machinery and the latest in printing technologies.

Our Management and Production teams are highly skilled and the friendliest in the industry, and are trained to “Always Put The Customer First.” At Sable you are assured to get the best from design to print, because we believe that, “If Sable is unable, nobody’s able.”

What we stand for

Local stock knowledge. We advise on paper and materials that are actually available in Zimbabwe, so your job is not delayed by imports.
Artwork support. Our studio checks bleed, resolution and colour before plates are made, and can set up files from scratch when needed.
Nationwide delivery. Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Gweru and beyond through vetted courier partners.

Headed by Executive Director Mrs Salma Wilson-Frank and with the direction of our capable Board of Directors, our management team has over 80 years of business and printing experience. Sable Press delivers a hands-on approach to all facets of its operations in order to provide the best service to our customers.

Production team

Sable Press understands that in the printing business it's all about quality and turn-around time. Our highly skilled production team has enabled us to grow over the last 33 years by consistently producing A-grade quality products at excellent turn-around rates. Responsibility beyond the press

As a commercial printer we consume paper, ink and board every day. We hold ourselves accountable for what those materials leave behind — supporting communities and schools, advancing animal welfare, standing with national anti-drug efforts and reducing production waste.

Education and awareness

Supporting Childline and schools

Sable Press became an official Childline partner in 2012. Since then, we have supported publications including CONNECT magazine and Childline Zimbabwe's annual storybook.

For every school magazine we print, Sable Press donates a portion of the proceeds to Childline and provides an A4 advertisement for Childline Zimbabwe. It is one way our everyday work helps amplify services that protect and support young people.

Dog kennels built from redundant print materials for Dog for Friend Foundation

Kennels for abandoned pets

Every print run produces redundancy: misprints, obsolete stock and board offcuts that would otherwise go to waste. Instead of discarding it, our production team reworks these materials into sturdy, weather-ready kennels.

We also work with animal welfare organisations by donating used pallets that can be converted into shelter for animals. Our kennels support the Dog for Friend Foundation, helping provide abandoned pets with a warm, dry place to sleep while giving useful materials a second life.

Anti-drug advocacy

Sable Press is an active part of the anti-drug institution working alongside the Government of Zimbabwe. We support national awareness campaigns with printed material and contribute as a corporate partner to community programmes that steer young people away from substance abuse.

Reuse. Reduce. Recycle.

We believe in doing our part for the environment. Paper off-cuts from production are collected and recycled rather than treated as ordinary waste, and aluminium printing plates are recycled to make items such as calendar rims.

Sustainably sourced paper

Our paper is procured from sustainable, certified suppliers. We advise clients on recycled and FSC-certified options and treat responsible sourcing as a baseline requirement, not an upsell.

Supporting our local community

Beyond structured programmes, we lend a hand closer to home — donating printed flyers, materials and production time to organisations doing quiet, essential work in our community. Recent beneficiaries include the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Management, Chinyaradzo Children's Home and Environment Africa.
